How to Adjust the Brakes on a Honda Ruckus

Having the brakes go out while you are cruising can really be a life threatening incident ,
so knowing how to quickly adjust the brake system is a must. The best way to adjust the brakes on the Honda Ruckus is to tighten the rear brake cable.
This is just the process of tightening the back brake cable bolt (the one attached to the tire well) and giving the left brake a slight squeeze. There is a nut that you loosen that allows you to adjust your brake cable. The most common cause of brake failure is a loose brake line bolt, so check it regularly.
I always check my tire pressure and brakes before I go putting around. Once I get going I only want to be concerned about having a fun safe trip.
Honda Ruckus
I have owned several Honda motorcycles over the years. I can remember as a kid saving up up for a Honda 100. She was sweet, to bad I didn’t have my license yet and had to ride it mostly under supervision.
Today I am riding a Honda Ruckus almost 40 years after I purchased my first Honda.
Why?
Well let me say that Honda’s are not the only motorcycle that I have ever owned. but I will say they are the most dependable . All the Hondas that I have owned always start and get me to where I have to go. they have never let me down. My Honda Ruckus is the same as all the rest of the Hondas that I have owned.
You might ask how much I depend on my Honda Ruckus. For over a year it was all the transportation that I had. I did everything with it. When I say everything I mean everything. We did the monthly shopping with the Ruckus.
We took 7 loads of laundry including my wife and I to do the laundry every other week. We hauled drinking water and gas for our generator. I went surfing at least 3 times a week with my Honda Ruckus.
Like I said it always starts and when there is a traffic jam, the Ruckus doesn’t care 
I am on the shoulder anyways. I sort of thought it looked funny at first but none of the women that wanted to ride with me did? They all think its cute. Hence I like it!
The Honda Ruckus is really rugged and is more utilitarian than most of those other scooters.
Almost any of the other scooters that I have tried do not compare to my Honda Ruckus. Sure you can find ones that look prettier and are maybe a bit faster but the Honda Ruckus will go the distance.
My friend bought his scooter new and has had it in the shop 3 times already. Once a rock hit the underside and broke a plastic fan cover. I assure you this kind or crap will not happen with a Ruckus they have thought over all those aspects of scootering.
If you want a scooter that is going to last and also hold its resale value, I would recommend a Honda Ruckus.
I am having more fun with my Ruckus than I had with my Honda 100 I had when I was a kid!
